We’ve come a long way since the latex and make-up of the original 1968 film. In this second in the reimagined series, chimpanzee leader Caesar (below), played by Andy Serkis under a layer of stunningly realistic special effects, seems as alive as the human characters.
The Boat That Rocked
(2009) 15 10.45PM, ITV Richard Curtis tunes into the glory days of 1960s pirate radio in this hedonistic comedy. With loud music and even louder clothing, this is buffed and polished in classic Curtis style.
