IN IT TOGETHER: The Treadaway twins

Twins Luke (Fortitude, 9pm, Sky Atlantic) and Harry Treadaway have both enjoyed fame and acclaim on their own – and in the choice projects they have done together. Here’s their story…

Growing up Born in 1984, Luke (below, left) and his brother, Harry (below, right) – who is younger by 20 minutes – grew up in a small Devon village. They left for London to train at Lamda and the National Youth Theatre.

In harmony Sibling rivalry does not seem to be an issue for the boys. They landed their first movie role together, in 2005’s

Brothers Of The Head, as conjoined twins who front a punk band – both musical, they perform the songs in the film. Luke also sings and plays guitar in A Street Cat

Named Bob (2016), while Harry played Joy Division and New Order drummer Stephen Morris in the

2007 Ian Curtis biopic Control. Doubling up Recognised jointly in 2006, they were nominated for a British Independen­t Film Award for Most Promising Newcomers. In 2009, they appeared on stage together in the play Over There, but haven’t worked together since. Going solo Luke won an Olivier Award for the acclaimed stage production of The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time in 2013, while Harry was landing roles in films such as Fish Tank (2009), The Lone Ranger

(2013) and Honeymoon (2014).

Sky highs Both have had TV drama hits in Sky Atlantic production­s – Luke with Fortitude and Harry as Dr Frankenste­in in Penny Dreadful.
