Jeremy’s a good egg

As two people who’ve appeared as contestants on Eggheads we felt we must write in response to the letter from D Hanson of Cambridge (Your View, 15 April). In our experience Jeremy Vine was charming and helpful. He put us completely at ease and was in no way pompous or flippant. Our team beat the Eggheads and he chatted to us and congratulated us. It would be a retrograde step to replace him.
