Ella, who up to then had been a diligent churchgoing girl, went a bit off the rails; then, she appeared in an amateur talent night at the Apollo in Harlem, and her route through life became clear. Tonight, Emma Kershaw, Louise Marshall and Mica Paris join Clare Teal for this celebratory concert of the music of Ella.
