Glastonbury 2017

- Mike Mulvihill

Glastonbury tickets are notoriously hard to get your hands on – all 135,000 for this year’s event sold out in just 50 minutes – but the BBC is providing the next best thing to actually being there over the three days. The festival itself gets bigger and better every year, as does the BBC coverage, which is so comprehensive that you’ll barely miss a thing. Jo Whiley (above) will be among the presenters bringing you 30 hours of live music on TV, plus further extensive coverage on radio, online and on iPlayer. Among the highlights are Radiohead on the Pyramid Stage on Friday night and Bee Gee Barry Gibb playing the popular afternoon slot on Sunday – and you won’t even have to brave the crowds and the mud. Across the BBC, from Friday.
