As a baby, Glenn Gould would wiggle his fingers as if playing the piano. By the time he was three, he demonstrat­ed that he had perfect pitch and a genius for music. Gould had a morbid fear of cold, looked liked a tramp and, throughout his odd life, would entrance as well as enrage people with his eccentric approach to music.
