Shortly before he died on Christmas Day of 2016, George Michael gave an in-depth interview, full of asides and insights, to Kirsty Young. Extracts from the interview were to be used on the soundtrack for the film Freedom. When they had finished recording, George said to Kirsty: ‘You should turn this into a radio programme.’ There was actually so much good material that Kirsty has turned it into two programmes.
