Now, he’s bringing that side of himself to terrestrial TV, starting with this hard-hitting documentary in which he goes behind bars at Glasgow’s notoriously grim HMP Barlinnie to investigate prison life, talking to inmates and staff to find out why the system seems to be at breaking point. The result is grim, but compelling.
