AN ABI ENDING? After Tiffany’s unexpected arrival and revelations, Whitney decides to go to Milton Keynes in search of answers, sending Tiffany into a panic. Has Tiffany not been entirely honest about what drove her back to Walford?

Dot is back in the Square and put out to find Karen is not maintaining the high standards she previously set at the launderette. However, when she sees that Karen is struggling to cope she steps in to lend an expert hand and the two women bond. Hopefully Dot will also have a friendly word with Karen and suggest she might want to toss those grubby bras of hers in with the next service wash. But Karen is still unable to make ends meet and devises a scheme to bring more money in. Cutting down to three packs of ciggies a day perhaps? Going more than two days without a takeaway?

Max continues to deny Abi is brain dead and refuses to believe doctors when they say there’s no hope of her recovering. Instead he does what EastEnders’ characters always do when a loved one is in hospital – he screams at the doctors and threatens them. It’s a shame Abi’s doctor can’t just give Max a punch in the mouth, everyone else in Walford has.

Later Jay delivers a package addressed to Abi and Max opens it to discover it’s a flatpack cot for the baby. It’s the final straw for a distraught Max who turns to Dot and Jack ( left, with Max) for support. But can they persuade him to accept that Abi’s life support must be switched off?
