The BRITs Are Coming

5.45PM, ITV

Ahead of next month’s BRIT Awards ceremony, Emma Willis hosts a live show to announce the artists who are on the nominations list. With recent figures suggesting that we’re streaming more music than ever (last year, music consumption increased at the fastest rate since 1998), it promises to be quite a night for British music, with performances from leading acts including Liam Payne, Paloma Faith (right), Clean Bandit and Critics’ Choice winner Jorja Smith, a 20-yearold singer-songwriter from Walsall who is one to watch.

Hugh’s Wild West

6PM, BBC2

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall continues to explore Dorset’s Jurassic Coast and the creatures that make it their home. In this second episode, he meets a team of volunteers keeping watch on a colony of little terns on Chesil beach, marvels at the weirdness of the cuttlefish, and revisits the rock pools of his childhood.

Casualty

8.25PM, BBC1

In what turns out to be just the first awkward reunion of the day, Max bumps into an old friend who reminds him of the life he could have had. But it’s the second encounter with an even more familiar face that turns out to have enormous repercussions for the jaded porter. Meanwhile, Jacob has some shocking news for Elle.

Hard Sun

9.35PM, BBC1

Episode two of six finds Grace Morrigan (Nikki Amuka-Bird) on the trail of the Hard Sun file, whose location only Renko (Agyness Deyn) is aware of. And when Renko persuades a journalist to write a story about the conspiracy, she puts herself directly in the firing line of those who are desperate to keep it under wraps.
