2016 Taste the Difference Alsace Gewurztraminer, France

A heavy, overly scented gewurztraminer would swamp the Tamarind Glazed Salmon With Orange & Pomegranate Couscous, but this version is at the lighter end of the spectrum and so is divine with such a perfumed and succulent recipe.

Torrontés is a fascinating grape, having a floral, lightly exotic nose but a crisp, bright, citrus finish. The Lemon Chicken & Herb Stuffing Traybake is its ideal partner, as it has just the right ingredients to make this delicious wine shine.

2016 Grillo, Sicily, Italy

£8, Marks & Spencer Grillo is a somewhat more demure white grape than torrontés (see above) but it has a decidedly citrus theme and also possesses plenty of crucial, cleansing acidity on the aftertaste – all of which goes to make it another excellent pairing for the Lemon Chicken & Herb Stuffing Traybake.
