There’s often strong comedy on offer in BBC2’s news satire, particular­ly in the sections with spoof interviews and ridiculous reporters. It does have a preachy tendency, though – to want to explain to you the ‘correct’ version of the news – which is a bit much at times.

A House Through Time BBC iPLAYER David Olusoga’s series traces British history from the 1840s to the present day by telling the story of one house in Liverpool, and all four parts of it are now available to watch. The first tells the story of a customs clerk with a taste for the finer things, while the second sees his home becoming a boarding house.
