THEY’RE IN THE MONEY – NOT

Not since Bernstein and Woodward were told to ‘follow the money’ has so much excitement been generated about mysterious cash. Aidan (pictured, with Phil) questions Phil’s loyalties when he pays him a visit and finds Mel there. It’s great to have Tamzin Outhwaite back, even if she is now a bizarre cross between Lady Penelope and James Bond’s boss, M.

With The Money still missing, Aidan turns his attention to Mick. Wishing to protect Ben, Phil tries to shift Aidan’s suspicions onto the hapless Vincent. But Aidan loses patience and takes extreme action. We’re not talking Mafia-style horse’s head in the bed (I doubt Aidan could manage a bet on a horse, let alone decapitate it), but he’s still someone you don’t want to cross. I just wish he’d have a wash. Poor Vincent. Not only does he have to suffer marriage to Kim, he now has to sell the Albert (£3.50 should seal the deal). Kim thinks his odd behaviour is down to him having an affair (who could blame him if he were?), but how truthful is he going to be about recent events? Masood’s first day at the chippy doesn’t go well when he decides to change the recipe. Eh? What can you change in a chip shop? Life looks up when he asks Mariam to make samosas for his girlfriend (fictional) and passes them off as his own in the chippy. I love Indira Joshi ( Mariam) – her sublime comic timing and delivery is a real breath of fresh air.
