The writer Pete Jackson began his recovery from alcoholism when he attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Helped and inspired by the people he met there, he sat down and wrote this comedy drama, set around an AA group. It was recorded in a draughty church hall used for true-life AA meetings, adding to the authentic feel of this series. In this opening episode of series two, Fiona (Rebecca Front) reaches out to Danno, another member of the group, for help. Danno, however, has plenty of his own problems – he’s on the run.
