CATCH-UP TV DRAMA

Hamlet BBC iPLAYER

With his masterly command of the emotional spectrum and fabulous talent for looking unhinged, Andrew Scott (Sherlock’s Moriarty) was a terrific choice to play the prince in this 2017 stage production. It is sleek, modern and moody, and it runs for more than three hours.

DOCUMENTARY The Island

ALL 4

This new series of Bear Grylls’s survival contest splits its contenders along wage lines – and so, to some extent, along class lines. One end of the island is populated by those who earn more than £100,000 a year; the other is home to those who earn below the UK’s average wage. Who is better equipped to survive? The Big Painting Challenge BBC iPLAYER Mariella Frostrup and the Rev Richard Coles present this returning contest in which they encourage ten amateur painters through a six-week artistic boot camp. These budding Picassos begin in Glasgow, working with mentors Diana Ali and Pascal Anson to tackle their first genre task: a still life.
