WHERE THERE’S A WILL

The difficulty of an emotionally charged storyline is that it’s hard to enjoy life’s frivolities. Close on the aftermath of David’s rape, Aidan’s suicide hasn’t so much cast a black cloud as a whacking great apocalypse of ash. There is another shock when, going through Aidan’s things, Michelle (pictured, with Robert) is stunned to discover the contents of his will. I’m sure we all will be. What could he leave other than ill-fitting shirts and a factory that hasn’t sent out an order in... years? Aeons?

Inevitably the death takes its toll, not least on Johnny, who shuts himself away but finds a shoulder to cry on in Liz. Of course he does. When it comes to providing shoulders for vulnerable people, that woman puts King Kong to shame. You could park a double- decker in each blade and she’d still have room for a multi-storey in between. She even lets Johnny sleep on the sofa. Well, we all know it’s a small step from the sofa to the boudoir (ten seconds and a dry white wine in Liz’s case). With Johnny growing increasingly frustrated with Jenny, is he ripe for the ever-grasping claws of Liz Scissorhands?

Back in the lesbian flood farm, Kate takes over the crying from Rana, sobbing in the arms of Sophie. Convinced they are having an affair, Zeedan follows them and takes photos. Hey! Who’s manning the kitchen at Speed Daal? Rana is not impressed. Should’ve stuck to lentils, Zeedan.
