Co-written by and starring Stephen Mangan, this six-part comedy revolves around a therapist whose life is even messier than his clients’, and features an astonishin­gly starry cast of cameos, some of whom, in this first episode, flit on and off the screen in a matter of seconds. Following the demise of his group therapy practice, Dr Richard Pitt (Mangan, right) is launching himself online, talking to his patients – and his own therapist, played by Richard E. Grant – via a webcam, while hiding a dark secret from his wife, Karen (Katherine Parkinson).

Episode three of four finds Hailey and Iris at a party, where they are startled to see their friend, Charlotte, being ‘roughed up’ and dragged off by her husband. When Charlotte then turns up dead in the road, miles from home, their suspicions are aroused – despite the police dismissing it as an ‘open-and-shut hit-and-run.’
