WHERE ARE THEY NOW? The cast of Spooks

-

Matthew Macfadyen is starring in Succession on Sky Atlantic (9pm). Here, we take a look at what he and the rest of the Spooks starting line-up have been up to since the show…

1) David Oyelowo (Danny Hunter) Serious Hollywood success, the high point of which – so far – has been as Martin Luther King Jr in Selma (2014). He’s also starring in the BBC’s adaptation of Les Miserables, with Dominic West, which is due on our screens in 2019.

2) Zoe Reynolds (Keeley Hawes) Hawes and Macfadyen were married in 2004, the year they both left the series, and have had two children since. Already a familiar face before Spooks,

Hawes has had plenty of TV hits since – Ashes To

Ashes and The Durrells to name but two – and Jed Mercurio’s The Bodyguard is coming soon. 3) Matthew Macfadyen (Tom Quinn) A steady stream of film roles, including Mr Darcy in Pride & Prejudice (2005) and Athos in The Three

Musketeers (2011). On TV, Macfadyen returned for the end of Spooks in 2011 and has starred in both Ripper Street and Howards End on the BBC. 4) Peter Firth (Harry Pearce) Firth has the unique distinction of appearing in every episode of Spooks, and has since been in Dickensian and Victoria on TV. Harry’s near-girlfriend, Ruth, was played by Nicola Walker, who has been all over our TV sets this year – in Collateral and The Split on the BBC and Unforgotten on ITV.
