But this success has been hard fought for, and this three-part series brings together some of the biggest names in black cinema to discuss the long and turbulent journey into the spotlight. Contributors include the 91-year-old Harry Belafonte (right), Diahann Carroll, Don Cheadle, David Oyelowo and Debbie Allen.

And she’s not the only familiar face in town – Dylan’s father, Brian, is around, too, although he can’t be relied upon to help in any sort of crisis situation.

‘I need someone to help me, I don’t want to do this any more,’ pleads Villanelle as she and Eve finally come face to face in the fifth episode. But despite her wide-eyed protestations, Eve doesn’t believe her for a moment and, sure enough, the ruthless assassin is soon up to her old tricks with her next victim. Ouch.
