THE NICK OF TIME

Nick’s return brought a variety of responses from friends and family and now he’s feeling guilty about not having been there for David. When Leanne (pictured, with Nick) suggests that he stick around, he calls the mysterious ‘E’ on his phone and lies about his mother having taken a turn for the worse. Nothing unusual there – every day for Gail is a turn for the worse. If it’s not a serial killer, it’s that endless pile of ironing. Here’s the weird thing: the laundry basket is always packed to the brim with newly washed clothes, yet everyone pretty much wears the same thing, week on week.

Nick has joined Jude on the long list of duplicitous men, but when Mary discovers Jude’s latest lies, will she keep quiet when he wins the Good Samaritan award? And will anyone be Samaritan enough to give George something to eat? He and Oliver should start their own diet club, because I swear neither has had a meal since Christmas. (And where have Jake and Harry gone? Maybe a desperate George and Oliver ate them.)

Ken has his first story published, but Audrey is less than pleased to discover it is based on her exploits, as relayed by Claudia. Given that the most exciting thing to happen to Audrey in the salon is a dead customer, I’m not sure it’s going to be a page turner; Daniel also thinks there are too many ‘boob’ references. I suspect that Fifty Shades Of Grey it ain’t – unless we’re talking hair colour.
