Peggy’s cat, Hilda, is still nowhere to be found this week, and while birds hop around happily and small rodents frisk in the last of the sun’s rays, those humans who have known Hilda’s claws now skip up to Peggy’s door. Things are not so chirpy over at Grange Farm, where the Grundy grief is all the harder to bear because of an unwelcome visitor, but a clear-out of Joe’s belongings unearths a mysterious letter, which will prove quite a distraction. The Bull, meanwhile, begins an initiative in memory of an old friend, Oliver is chirpier than he’s been for a long time, Elizabeth is on the mend, but David and Adam – worried about Vince Casey – are sunk in gloom.
