THE FULL WORKS CONCERT
8PM, CLASSIC FM HHHHH Karl Jenkins, one of the mostperformed living composers, has written a new work, Miserere, dedicated to all who have suffered during conflicts in the Middle East over the past 70 years. It will be performed tonight in this recording of its world premiere, an exclusive concert of work by Jenkins. The countertenor Iestyn Davies, cellist Abel Selaocoe, percussionist Zands Duggan and harpist Catrin Finch are among the performers.
THE FIGHT OF THE CENTURY

The 1938 boxing match between the black American Joe Louis and the German Max Schmeling, whose fans included Hitler and Goebbels, became the largest radio event in history. They had already fought in 1936, when Schmeling won. Their second fight, on the brink of the Second World War, was a very different matter.
