11.15PM, BBC2 ★★★★ First held in 2006, Jools Holland’s annual party is now a firm favourite in the New Year’s Eve schedules. Joining the bluesman round the piano this year are rapper Stormzy, Welsh rockers Stereophon­ics (right), 1980s icon Rick Astley and singer-songwriter – and Fairground Attraction front woman – Eddi Reader, while Ruby Turner and Jools perform their latest single, Come On In. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Hootenanny without the Pipes and Drums of the 1st Battalion Scots Guards. Happy New Year!

DAME EDNA RULES THE WAVES

9.05PM, BBC1 ★★★ Prepare for an outrageous night of entertainm­ent as Dame Edna Everage sets sail aboard her super-yacht, the Ocean Widow, with celebrity guests Sharon Osbourne, Rob Rinder, Emily Atack and Joe Sugg. The captain of the ship is Eastenders favourite Rudolph Walker, while chef Rick Stein provides the food.

GRAHAM NORTON SHOW: NEW YEAR’S EVE SHOW

10.20PM, BBC1 ★★★★ Joining Graham for his traditiona­l New Year’s Eve talk show are Tom Hanks, Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse and Line Of Duty and This Is England star Stephen Graham. Spice Girl Melanie C, meanwhile, will provide the music, and there’s fun with the audience and the Hogmanay Red Chairs.

CRAIG DAVID ROCKS BIG BEN LIVE

11.25PM, BBC1 ★★★★ The New Year’s Eve celebratio­ns kick off live from the heart of London with a concert staged by singersong­writer Craig David, who will be performing all his hits as we build up to midnight – and the spectacula­r, world-famous fireworks display over the Thames. MM
