PICK OF THE DAY
SPY IN THE WILD
9PM, BBC1 ★★★★
Back for a new run comes the charming nature series in which cameras resembling wildlife and foliage are secreted around the world to film from the heart of the action. It’s remarkable stuff, with the Spy Creatures made to move and react convincingly enough that the animals they are there to film accept them. Gorillas take to the animatronic baby quickly, while the jaguar cub camera has a tense encounter with real adult cats. In the air, a drone vulture helps to take footage of thousands of nesting sea turtles in Costa Rica.
EASY WAYS TO LIVE WELL
8PM, BBC1 ★★★
Steph Mcgovern and Hugh Fearnley-whittingstall team up for this new series to find simple ways for us all to increase our wellness. Both agree to take the plunge, with Hugh trying to manage his stress levels with daily cold showers, and Steph examining her gut microbiome to see if she can improve her tummy woes.
TRUST ME, I’M A DOCTOR
8PM, BBC2 ★★★
More medical claims are debunked by Michael Mosley and his expert team. This week, Michael examines and tests research into the effects of food on our mood, while paediatrician Guddi Singh tries to find relief for tired parents by getting to the bottom of the various theories on how to stop babies from crying.
WHITE HOUSE FARM
9PM, ITV ★★★★
While clearing the house,
Ann and other members of the family stumble upon vital evidence, and DCI Jones finally heeds Stan’s urging to interview Jeremy again. But as Jeremy continues to insist on cremating, rather than burying, his family, it’s a race against time before more crucial evidence is lost for ever. SA
