7.30PM, RADIO 3 HHH Blanche Dubois gets on the New Orleans trolleybus that has the destination Desire on the front, and arrives at her married sister’s home. Blanche is an ageing Southern belle, down on her luck, who imposes herself on her sister and brother-in-law, bringing destruction with her. Anne-marie Duff plays the part of Blanche in this repeated production of Tennessee Williams’s play.

9PM, CLASSIC FM HHH Catherine Bott marks St David’s Day with music from Wales, plus performances by Welsh singers and musicians. She includes Karl Jenkins’s powerful The Armed Man: A Mass For Peace, and the harpist Catrin Finch playing the 18th-century song of a tragic love affair, Watching The White Wheat.
