The Eternal City is up first as excitable Gregg discovers the delights of Rome. He gets a rare look inside the Trevi Fountain, takes a scooter ride (right), makes gelato and navigates the Jewish ghetto.

He does so in extravagant style, after riding a luxury train costing £3,000 for a two-day trip. He marvels at a floating village on Lake Titicaca, and ventures into the scary but amazing Amazon.

This week’s edition features a celebration of a springtime favourite with a visit to the Daffodil Society’s annual show, held last year at Pershore in Worcestershire. The spiritual journey of the unlikely team is well under way as they move from Serbia to Bulgaria. They meet a nun with an unlikely connection to Essex, before heading to Sofia just in time for Independence Day. Amar gets back in touch with Islam, while peace begins to waver during the hiking. TJ
