It will, they say, stop cancer cells dividing, keep you from going bald, and give you glowing skin. The list of claims from some proselytisers would make you think this stuff is a universal panacea. Greg Foot is joined by a CBD researcher in a programme that sifts the truth from the hype, and will save you throwing your money down the drain.

The fictional Plum House is one of those country house museums

Jane Horrocks (11.30am, Radio 4) that people liked pottering around in when that sort of thing was allowed. It was once the home of the talent-free 18th-century poet George Pudding, and is now staffed by an eccentric crew, including Maureen (Jane Horrocks) and Julian (Miles Jupp). With some of the sharper staff members away, Julian gets it into his head to raise the museum’s social media presence by putting on a full suit of armour. But, of course, things don’t go to plan in this slightly daft sitcom.
