STUMPTOWN

-

9PM, ALIBI ★★★ Offbeat private eye Dex (Marvel’s Cobie Smulders, left) is back on the offensive in this week’s new episode, which is the best place for her. She’s determined to get the best of Artie Banks, and the chess game that ensues between them begins, in typical Dex style, with her smashing the daylights out of his beloved Mustang with a bat.

CELEBRITY GOGGLEBOX USA

9PM, E4 ★★★

Rob Lowe (left) is among the stars reacting to TV shows for this new American take on Gogglebox (called Celebrity Watch Party in the US). It was filmed recently, and also features the singer Meghan Trainor, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and the actress Raven-symone.

CLIMBING BLIND

9PM, BBC4 ★★★★

Jesse Dufton has no sight beyond vague impressions of light and dark and, in this new one-off, he attempts to climb the Old Man of Hoy (left), a 449ft sea stack in the Orkneys. It looks like madness, but Jesse seems so calm about it all that the film is surprisingly easy to watch. RW
