As protests and discussions about racism have broken out across the world, this new, two-part series is a groundbreaking look at unconscious racial bias. Led by experts in a British school, 11- and 12-yearolds take part in activities that are designed to challenge perceptions of race. In this first part, the students (including best friends Bright and Henry, right) are split up according to their race, and come to some difficult realisations. There’s also the sombre moment when one girl tries to work out which group she fits into.

8PM, BBC2 ★★★★ The delightful Rachel Khoo takes Fred Sirieix to Vienna in Austria, a little-known food heaven. They take a cuppa and cake to the next level in one of the city’s 836 coffee houses, and Rachel helps Fred to make the surprisingly delicate apple strudel. Fred is also treated to a very special Mangalitsa pork schnitzel.
