Archers update

Few of us have missed the terrible screech of Eccles the peacock over these past few months. This mysterious bird, which made fleeting appearances over the years, finally came to a bad end after a run-in with a car. Kenton was behind the wheel, and was nowhere near as sorry as he should have been. Now, it seems – to Kenton’s and our dismay – that Jolene is considering a replacement banshee to fill the village with its fearsome shrieks. Another unpleasant threat to the tranquillity of Ambridge life is the chaos caused by fly-tippers – but David is on the case and, after some snooping around, has a pretty good idea who the culprit is. Meanwhile, Elizabeth, attempting to move her life on, gets encouragement from Jolene.
