8PM, CH4 ★★★★ It’s the grand final of the patisserie competition, and the three remaining duos have four hours to produce hats constructed entirely from chocolate – and worn by real models as they parade up and down the catwalk – in a Bake Off first. Then, for the final grand challenge, the teams have a marathon seven hours to create a historical banquet, fit for a king or queen, to feed 80 people. Whoever impresses judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden (right) the most will certainly have earned their victory.

AMAZING HOTELS: LIFE BEYOND THE LOBBY

Monica Galetti and Giles Coren dig out their thermals and head to the luxurious Schloss Elmau, a hotel deep in the snowy Bavarian Alps. There, Monica joins in the daily meditation session for the restaurant staff, while Giles serves dinner – dressed in lederhosen.
