DERMOT O’LEARY

8AM, RADIO 2 HHHH

Jamie Dornan started out as a model, and was known as the ‘golden torso’. The Northern Irishman turned to acting, and became a heart-throb after playing Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades franchise. He was terrifying as a serial killer in the TV drama

The Fall, but now stars in a romantic comedy called Endings, Beginnings. Jamie joins Dermot to talk about his role in this film.

YOU’RE DEAD TO ME

10.30AM, RADIO 4 HHHH Josephine Baker danced like a tigress, but sang with a sweet, schoolgirl voice. After becoming the toast of Paris in the 1920s, she worked for the French Resistance during the Second World War. Michell Chresfield and Desiree Jamie Dornan (8am, Radio 2) Burch join Greg Jenner to tell Josephine’s remarkable story.

RYLAN ON SATURDAY

3PM, RADIO 2 HHHH

Joe Wilkinson began his comedy career in his village pub, and still turns up for gigs looking as if he’d nipped into his local for a swift half after work. The bearded stand-up comedian usually performs in an ill-fitting cheap suit, but his routine is wild, surreal and very funny. Joe has decided that we all need cheering up, so he’s teamed up with The National Lottery to create the Good News Bulletin. It is, as he tells Rylan Clarkneal this afternoon, a weekly round-up of all the great charity work being done by all kinds of people during these hard times.

MY LIFE IN A MIXTAPE

9PM, RADIO 2 HHHH

The Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke creates a playlist of her favourite tunes, and tells the stories behind the songs. It’s a fine and mixed selection that includes Dionne Warwick’s heartbreaking Walk On By and Coolio’s haunting Gangsta’s Paradise. SUSAN JEFFREYS
