9PM, BBC2 ★★★★★ Sixteen years ago, the BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner was shot six times while reporting on terrorism in Saudi Arabia; he was left partially paralysed. In this touching documentary, Frank (right) reveals how life has drastically changed since. We see the issues he faces at work and hear how loved ones have been affected, and he doesn’t shy away from intimate details. He also meets people with similar injuries, which gets emotional, but it’s important to understand some of the stark realities of life with a disability.
