8PM, BBC1 ★★★★★ Inthebarnt­hisweek,all eyes are on the exotic, lifesize mannequin brought in by Dawinder Basal from Wolverhamp­ton (right, with Jay Blades and ceramics expert Kirsten Ramsay). Modelled on a Bollywood starlet from the 1960s, the mannequin was a big part of Dawinder’s childhood, growing up in the Midlands – and she’s keen to see it restored to its vibrant former glory. Elsewhere in the shop, a penny arcade machine, a lumberjack’s tree spurs and a cherished wedding ring all have heart-warming stories to tell.
