A classy cast pulls out all the stops for this sharp new drama, written by Tracy-ann Oberman, that takes us behind the scenes during the making of Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner, the light-hearted 1967 film about the serious subject of racism. Adrian Lester plays Sidney Poitier, Kenneth Branagh is Spencer Tracy, and Tracy-ann plays Katharine Hepburn in a radio drama that, in different times, might well have made it on to the West End stage.

As the old year fades away, Eleanor Rosamund Barraclough turns her face to the north towards the ice, snow and all things Nordic. Eleanor takes a plunge into an icy Norwegian lake because, as she is assured by the locals, a day spent in the ice is a day when you don’t age, and meets a Norwegian man who thinks that by eating bean sprouts and drinking a special juice, he will live for ever.
