INSIDE THE FACTORY
8PM, BBC2 ★★★★
Cherry Healey and man of the moment Gregg Wallace reveal everything you ever wanted to know about yoghurt but were too afraid to ask. Gregg visits a factory in rural Somerset that produces one million pots of it every 24 hours, while Cherry (right) helps out with the UK’S biggest blackcurrant harvest before visiting a factory that makes food-safe yoghurt pots from 100 per cent recycled material. And historian Ruth Goodman is also getting in on the act as she tells the story of the electric milk float, and tackles the contentious origins of the cream tea.
24 HOURS IN A&E
9PM, CH4 ★★★★
The award-winning show returns for an incredible
23rd series, following patients treated in the same 24-hour period at St George’s in London. Covid-19 has yet to make its mark in episode one as the doctors treat 61-year-old Sue, who fell from her mobility scooter, and 78-year-old Ted, who tripped down the stairs.
BEN FOGLE: NEW LIVES IN THE WILD
9PM, CH5 ★★★ Ben Fogle heads to the stunning highlands of eastern Iceland to stay with 50-yearold Denni Karlsson, a former film-maker who swapped the bright lights of Hollywood for the northern lights of his homeland. There, Ben is transported 200 years into the past to embrace the country’s rural heritage.
ARE WOMEN THE FITTER SEX?
10PM, CH4 ★★★
Dr Ronx looks into why more men die from Covid-19 than women, something that is not new to the current pandemic. Women, it appears, are historically the stronger sex – but are they getting the best care from the UK healthcare system? And does your sex really affect how you are treated? MIKE MULVIHILL
8PM, SKY NATURE ★★★
Imagine how different the world would be if we could communicate directly with animals. This interesting new series follows scientists as they try to decipher the gestures, looks and postures that convey so much between citizens of the animal kingdom. (Sky 130, Virgin 279)
9PM, SKY DOCUMENTARIES ★★★ In 1998, human rights activist Bishop Gerardi was killed after announcing the release of his report on the Guatemalan Civil War.
