THE WINDSORS: INSIDE THE ROYAL DYNASTY

Is there anything more we need to know about the royal family? Well, just in case you do, here’s a new, six-part series that traces the history of the Windsors, from the death of King George V in 1936 to the present day.

MY FATHER AND ME

This 2019 film by documentar­y-maker Nick Broomfield is his most personal yet, both a memoir and a tribute to his photograph­er dad, Maurice Broomfield. It charts his life against a backdrop of Britain in the 20th century, with cinematogr­aphy by Nick’s son, Barney.

ALL STAR MUSICALS 6.30PM, ITV

John Barrowman is back for a special edition of the singing contest as six famous faces are transforme­d into West End stars. Taking to the stage are actresses Jessica Hynes and Luisa Bradshaw-white, ‘Judge’ Robert Rinder, actor Barney Walsh, journalist Robert Peston and Dr Ranj Singh, all of whom will be mentored by the great Elaine Paige.

This disturbing three-part series, showing on consecutiv­e nights, examines historic child abuse that took place in youth football, from the mid-1970s until the mid-1990s, and the culture of silence that surrounded it. Continues tomorrow at 10.45pm.

In the penultimat­e episode, Cassie and Sunny interview two of the four suspects again and get closer to the truth about what happened the night Walsh disappeare­d, before events take a devastatin­g turn after Cassie has a painful altercatio­n with her father.

24 HOURS IN POLICE CUSTODY 9PM, CH4

This true-crime series returns with the case of a 23-year-old man who has been arrested for numerous offences, but a lack of evidence and his ‘no comment’ interviews mean he has to be released. STRANGERS MAKING BABIES

A new, four-part series following the work of fertility specialist Dr Marie Wren and her team of experts as they try to match single people who wish to have a baby, but not a romantic relationsh­ip. Tonight, nanny Venicia and amateur dancer Sarah each meet three carefully vetted potential co-parents.

KIRSTIE AND PHIL’S LOVE IT OR LIST IT: BRILLIANT BUILDS 8PM, CH4

Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer look back at two families – one in Bury St Edmunds and one in Harrogate – who had to sacrifice some of their gardens to extend their houses and make more living space.

Stacey Dooley hosts this new guessing game panel show, a twist on Through The Keyhole. Four people give us a tour of a home that they claim is theirs – but only one is telling the truth. Serial rapist John Worboys is believed to have claimed more than 100 victims between 2000 and 2008. He could have been stopped in 2007, but the police let him go. The woman who came forward then tells her story here for the first and only time, and we learn how badly flawed the original investigat­ion was.

This powerful documentar­y looks at the 1960s and 1970s through the eyes of the young black people who refused to take racism as a part of the natural order of things in the UK. In interviews, a number of black activists reveal what drove them to act.

Kate’s final walk takes her 12 miles along the Suffolk coast. She starts at a nature reserve, takes in a permanent holiday village, the post-war home of Benjamin Britten and protected wetlands before finishing, fittingly, at another reserve – but this one was once a top-secret military test site.

Monty Don makes the most of the clocks going forward as he begins to sow dahlia seeds for summer flowers, before showing what to plant now in the vegetable garden.
