THIS IS MY HOUSE

9PM, BBC1 ★★★

This new spin on Through The Keyhole – with a dash of Would I Lie To You? – asks five celebs to guess who lives in a house like this. The selling point of the show, hosted by Stacey Dooley (right), is that four people claim to be the homeowners, and only one is telling the truth. In this episode, three women and one man called Fern claim to own a pristine, all-white home in Ashford.

All the Ferns are excellent actors, having fun with some catty rivalry as they try to trick the celebrity sleuths, who this week include Bill Bailey and Laurence Llewelyn-bowen.

GREAT BRITISH MENU

8PM, BBC2 ★★★★

Andi Oliver hosts a new series of the professional cooking contest. The theme of this year’s banquet is British invention and innovation, and as the chefs from the central region get cooking in the first round, they find inspiration in black holes, DNA and Isaac Newton’s apple – making for some very striking dishes.

DNA JOURNEY

9PM, ITV ★★★

Father and son Martin and Roman Kemp explore their family history together for this final genealogy road trip. Martin grew up poor in north London, but after success with Spandau Ballet, he was able to give Roman a much better start in life. At the British Museum, they look deep into the past, and are in for a big surprise.

FIRST DATES HOTEL

9PM, CH4 ★★★★

Fred Sirieix and the team throw open the doors of the love hotel for some sunsoaked matchmaking. Taking the plunge in this first episode are Thalia and Jack, who bond over a love of sharks. Country boy Winston is also excited by his date, but has Cupid’s arrow missed its mark for 79-year-old widower Tony?
