STRICTLY COME DANCING 6.45PM, BBC1

★★★★★ Last week, we saw the couples

taking to the floor for their first routines, safe in the knowledge that nobody would be going home. But that’s not the case tonight as the celebrities and their professional partners (including Tom Fletcher and Amy Dowden, right) will be dancing to impress not just the judges, but also the viewers at home – for the first time this series, the public vote will open. No one wants to fall at the first hurdle, so expect the dancing to be fierce ahead of Sunday night’s results show (7.05pm), when the unlucky loser will be announced.

BRITAIN’S FORGOTTEN WARS WITH TONY ROBINSON 8PM, CH4

★★★★

This episode explores the brutal civil war that began in Bosnia in 1992 as Yugoslavia broke up. British troops were originally part of a UN peacekeeping force, but after the massacre at Srebrenica in 1995, they played a more active role as Nato launched Operation Deliberate Force.

BLANKETY BLANK 9PM, BBC1

★★★

‘I stand on the shoulders of giants like Les Dawson and Sir Terry Wogan, but I’m hoping to put my own stamp on the fantastically nostalgic show.’ Those are the words of Bradley Walsh, the new host of the revived game show, which gets a new series after the success of a festive special last Christmas.

MICHAEL CAINE: THE MAN & THE MOVIES 9PM, CH5

★★★★

Friends and colleagues line up to pay tribute to the life of a great British actor. There’s also the chance to see three films that showcase his versatility – the Second World War dramas A Bridge Too Far (2.55pm) and Battle Of Britain (6.25pm), plus the thriller Harry Brown (10.30pm).
