Zona Shue died in 1897 during childbirth – well, that’s what her husband, Edward, claimed. But after she was buried, Zona’s mother said she had had a dream that her daughter’s spirit had appeared and accused Edward of murdering her. Poor Zona was exhumed, and a post-mortem showed she had been strangled. In the subsequent trial, Edward’s terrible past was revealed.

Kirsty Logan tells the strange story from West Virginia of the ghost that put a murderer in jail.

Adam Morse had just set out on a career as a film and TV director when he started seeing little dots of light. These dots quickly joined

up, and Adam became blind. He didn’t, though, as he tells Olly Mann this evening, give up his dreams, and went on to become an award-winning director.

Stefan Dennis appeared in the very first episode of Neighbours in March 1985. Stefan did quit the show in 1992, but returned in 2004, and is still in the role of the ruthless, cold-hearted, scheming, scamming Paul Robinson. Stefan joins Gary Davies tonight to talk about being in the Aussie soap and his occasional diversions into pop music.

THE CLASSIC FM CONCERT 8PM, CLASSIC FM HHHH

The composer Gustav Mahler had been on the brink of death before writing his Fifth Symphony, and the work opens with a funeral march and finishes in serenity. The Symphony was used in the film Death In Venice, bringing it to a wider audience. John Suchet plays a recording, made in May this year by the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, of this sublime work. SJ
