SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL GUNFIGHTER
(1971) ● 12.35PM, PARAMOUNT ★★★
A fine comic western, with James Garner as a rogue passing himself off as a gunman and getting himself in trouble as a result. No one is better than Garner (above) at this sort of tongue-in-cheek stuff, but his saddlehardened co-stars lend authentic appeal.
BULLITT

Mcqueen is the cop who drives his car up and down that city’s vertiginous streets in one of cinema’s most magnificent car chases.
★★★★ Featuring some impressive sets and costumes – you’d expect nothing less – this biopic of Jackie Kennedy stars Natalie Portman (left) as the First Lady. A week after her husband is assassinated in Dallas, Jackie meets with a journalist at her home in Massachusetts to discuss JFK’S legacy.
