John Torode and Gregg Wallace (right) have stirred things up nicely for this new series of the cooking contest. Nine home cooks first face an audition round where they each prepare their signature dish. In another twist, John and Gregg excuse themselves from the kitchen and retire to the tasting room to await the debut dishes. Three cooks will go straight through, while the other six will keep cooking in the hope of winning one of four remaining aprons and a place in the next round. The hosts are full of big superlatives for what is an impressive first round.

YOUR BODY UNCOVERED WITH KATE GARRAWAY 8PM, BBC2

Kate Garraway and Dr Guddi Singh guide more patients through their treatment with the help of 3-D imaging. Tina has been diagnosed with a degenerative spinal condition and has a difficult journey ahead, as does Annabelle, who is fighting an aggressive type of breast cancer.

INTERIOR DESIGN MASTERS 9PM, BBC1

The eight remaining designers are challenged with updating four tired common rooms and adjoining offices at a school in Bristol. Their discerning young clients need vibrant rooms that reflect their house mascots, and, this week, two designers will be sent home. They are learning fast, but not everyone will pass this latest test.

KATE & KOJI 9PM, ITV

There are plenty more pearls of wisdom from Kate this week, on subjects as diverse as Love Island, smoothies (‘compost in a glass’) and bum implants, to name a few. Kate and Koji are united in efforts to avoid telling Medium what they really think of the novel he wrote during lockdown – until Koji finally gets news.
