A worthy forerunner to Sex And The City, this follows three young women making their way in work and love in New York City. The superb cast is led by Hope Lange, with Stephen Boyd as her love interest and Joan Crawford (above right, with Linda Hutchings) as her boss.

Paul Walker is the undercover cop infiltrati­ng Vin Diesel’s gang to solve a far greater crime, but finding himself drawn in by their way of life. Fast & Furious 6 is on ITV2 tonight at 8pm.

All cool white costumes and pristine surfaces, this sci-fi stars Nicholas Hoult and Kristen Stewart as citizens in a futuristic society where emotions are strictly regulated. When a disease starts freeing them to feel again, they fall in love and dare to break from the regime.
