FREE CERAMIC POPPY BROOCH

Beautiful. Unique. And we are giving away thousands to lucky readers

-

THeY have come to define the sacrifice of our forefathers — a cascade of ceramic poppies pouring forth from the Tower of London and filling its moat. Dreamed up by the ceramic artist Paul Cummins, the spectacular installation, Blood Swept Lands And Seas of Red, has caught the imagination of people all over the world and will raise substantial sums for Forces charities. Millions have queued patiently to see the 888,246 poppies, one for each British and colonial serviceman killed in World War I. As the crowds flock to the City of London for a final glimpse before this display is removed, the Daily Mail has commissioned one of the producers of the Tower poppies to create a beautiful and poignant reminder of this historic work of art and of the sacrifice that it commemorates. In partnership with The Royal British Legion, we will be giving away 3,000 stunning, specially made ceramic poppy brooches. each is worth £28 and has been hand-crafted by Whichford Pottery in Warwickshire. This fine family-run business was entrusted with making tens of thousands of the Tower poppies and is renowned for the exceptional quality of its work. For every ceramic poppy brooch we give away, we will be donating £15 to The Royal British Legion in support of its crucial work. For the best part of a century, the Legion’s Poppy Appeal has been a lifeline for past and present members of the Armed Forces and their families. Today, as always, it is the Legion that so often comes to their rescue, helping people to cope with bereavement, live with disability or find employment.
