One Direction in new drug storm as star is caught ‘rolling joint’

- Daily Mail Reporter

BAREFOOT and perched on the edge of a sofa, One Direction star Louis Tomlinson starts to roll what looks like a joint in a picture that has surfaced just hours after he was seen leaving a nightclub with five women.

The image, obtained exclusively by the Daily Mail’s website MailOnline, shows the multimillionaire singer sitting next to a plastic container filled with what appears to be a dry, green weedlike substance and rolling paper.

Taken yesterday during a 48hour period when Tomlinson was seen partying hard, the 23year- old was photographed returning to the trendy Soho Hotel in London in a dishevelled state.

Tomlinson, who has just split from long-term girlfriend Eleanor Calder, left night club Cirque le Soir at 4am and returned to his £2,880-a-night, top floor two-bedroom suite, complete with marble bathroom, with a group of women.

The band have made every effort to cultivate a clean- cut image for their millions of young and impressionable fans, but this picture of Tomlinson with what appears to be cannabis is likely to horrify parents.

It is also likely to cause huge damage to media mogul Simon Cowell, 55, who has made millions from the group – regarded as the biggest boy band in the world.

It comes almost a year after video footage of Tomlinson with former band member Zayn Malik, 22, also obtained by MailOnline, showed the pair joking about drugs as they appeared to share a joint during

The video left the band’s fan base dismayed at their behaviour. The band faced heavy criticism, with thousands of fans dumping tickets to their shows.

The Soho Hotel picture of Tomlinson comes just weeks after Malik announced his decision to quit One Direction. Shortly before his announcement it had emerged that Malik and Tomlinson had been forced to post bonds worth close to $12,000 to be allowed into the Philippines where they were due to play a concert in Manila. The money was to be forfeited if either were caught using illegal drugs while there.

According to the latest Sunday Times rich list, Tomlinson and his fellow band members have a fortune of £25million each.

One Direction are currently in the middle of their fourth concert tour, On The Road Again. It began in February in Sydney, Australia, and will end in October in Sheffield.

Representatives for the band last night failed to respond to a request for a comment.
