After Cressie the stage star, Harry’s Chelsy turns Ibiza DJ
Cressida Bonas isn’t the only one of Prince Harry’s former girlfriends enjoying a new lease of life.
Just as she is forging a successful career as an actress, so Chelsy davy has become actively involved in the music business.
davy quit her £69,500-a-year job at City law firm allen & overy last year ‘to pursue new interests’, but only now is it apparent what those are.
The 29-year-old, who is single since splitting from her jeweller boyfriend Charles Goode in January, left england two weeks ago to join a group of professional dJs on tour.
on saturday she stepped behind the decks at the Blue Marlin beach resort in ibiza with Housekeeping, a dJ collective and self- styled ‘music ph e n o m e n o n’ co- founded by her friend Jacobi anstruther- GoughCalthorpe, who is also the halfbrother of Cressida Bonas.
Jacobi, 32, launched Housekeeping London in 2012 with three business partners, one of whom is Chelsy’s old friend Taylor McWilliams.
earlier this month, Taylor and Chelsy were spotted looking very cosy as they sat next to each other at Jacobi’s birthday dinner in London.
But Chelsy’s new role behind the decks this week was not a one- off, for she became an honorary member of Housekeeping when they played at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this month.
in a photo shared by Housekeeping’s official instagram account, the
usually designer- clad Chelsy is dressed down and wearing a baseball cap bearing the group’s logo. The caption reads: ‘ Housekeeping represent @ChelsyDavy.’
A spokesman for Housekeeping says: ‘Chelsy’s been touring with them because she is a very old friend of Jacobi’s.’
Chelsy, a graduate of Cape Town University and Leeds University, joined Allen & Overy in 2011, after her seven-year, on- off relationship with Prince Harry.
Before Jacobi left for Ibiza, he told me he had been signed by Sony Records as a producer.
‘ They sent me a contract two months ago and I just signed it and sent it off,’ he said.
‘I work in finance and I only DJ on the side. Having both jobs does keep me busy, but I only need five hours’ sleep a night.’
