LIZ’S UNCHANGING LOOKS!

As she turns 50, how Liz Hurley’s stuck with three VERY familiar styles through thick and thin

OBVIOUS? Maybe. Repetitive? Certainly. But ah, the sweet inevitability of the neverchanging Liz Hurley.

The sweeping hair! The pillows of cleavage! The perfectly slicked pout and racehorse- meets- dentist teeth! So today, as Liz Hurley reaches her milestone 50th birthday, what better time to celebrate her position at the very apex of showbiz show-stoppery.

After all, can you think of anyone else who has got so far on so little — or on a mere three signature looks? For where would Liz be without the slashed-to-thethigh, cleavage-baring frock; the skin-tight white jeans and, of course, the bikini?

As far as the dress goes, sometimes it is by Cavalli, a master of the flash and vulgar. Often she likes Versace. And occasionally she tries something more modern such as Issa — a label sometimes favoured by the Duchess of Cambridge. But whoever the designer is, Liz appears drawn to wear virtually the same dress again and again — tight, plunging, with a generous split to expose a well- oiled thigh, and more often than not in pink.

The other look is her white jeans. She has been wearing them since before she was pregnant with Damian, now 13, and despite their dirt-attracting properties — and whether they are in fashion — they remain her favourite daytime look.

Some might grumble that this means she has never been in fashion, but her many fans will aver that Liz is fashion-proof.

And the bikinis? Although she quietly stopped modelling for Elizabeth Hurley Beach last year, she has not given up on milking the looks that have helped her to a £13 million fortune.

Indeed, Liz has been flashing the flesh since Wet Wet Wet’s Love Is All Around was the biggest selling single of the year, the National Lottery was launched and O.J. Simpson fled police pursuit in his Ford Bronco. And what a ride it has been . . .
