Ben longs to be Bowie’s double
LaBOUR’S Ben Bradshaw says people are forever telling him he looks like a celebrity.
‘they remark all the time that I look like hugh Grant, and as I get older it’s become David Bowie a bit more — and as I get even older it’s Nigel havers,’ he told me recently.
‘ I’d prefer to be like David Bowie as I like his edginess.
‘ I suppose I do like hugh Grant’s appeal to middle England — we are exactly the same age [54], but I have a much less complicated private life than him, plus I haven’t had Liz hurley.’ he adds saucily: ‘though that’s mainly because I’ve had a husband of 20 years who keeps me on the straight and narrow.’ Quite so!
