Woman who pretended she was a man to trick girl into sex
A WOMAN posed as a single father to seduce a female friend she met through Facebook.
Fiona Manson, 25, used the online alias ‘Joey G- Star Crislow’ to begin a courtship that progressed through text messaging and phone calls before the pair eventually ended up in bed together.
But a court heard that the defendant wore a ‘bodysuit’ and insisted that the lights were switched off before using a sex toy on her victim.
Manson pleaded guilty to the sex assault at a court appearance last year, but sentencing was adjourned as the attacker faced a second trial. The details of the 2012 attack were outlined in court this week, where Manson, who is now living as a man, appeared under a new male identity as Kyran Lee.
He was accused of a similar pattern of behaviour against a second woman. Referring to the assault in 2012, prosecutor Jonathan Straw said: ‘Kyran Lee sent [the victim] photographs of himself suggesting himself to be a tall, tanned muscular young man. He said he had a daughter. The victim was a single parent.
‘Kyran Lee sent her presents including an engagement ring. Throughout this time she [the victim] said she wanted to meet him, but the defendant made excuses.’
When the pair finally met, Lee wore a thick jacket and a hat to appear more manly, jurors heard.
Mr Straw said: ‘He kept his face away from her but she realised he didn’t look like his photograph. They spent time together and shared a bed. The defendant wore a bodysuit and the lights were off.’
The prosecutor said that during their meeting, Lee performed a sex act on the woman, who is now 27, before using the sex toy to have intercourse with her.
The jury was told that the victim only discovered her boyfriend was actually a woman when a friend told her Lee was working at a local McDonald’s under his birth name of Fiona Manson.
Yesterday a jury also heard details of a second relationship in 2008 involving a former schoolfriend who was 17 at the time. It took them less than three hours to clear Lee of sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault and witness intimidation.
Lincoln Crown Court was told the defendant posed as a blondhaired, blue-eyed father called Daniel Blades during a six-month courtship by phone and text message, which even led to the alleged victim agreeing to marry him.
The pair allegedly ended up in bed when ‘Daniel’ finally met her in person for the first time, but he was so ‘shy’ he kept a beanie hat and his clothes on.
The woman said her ‘boyfriend’ performed a sex act on her and the pair touched each other, adding: ‘He really had me fooled. I thought we were a couple in love. He said we could have a baby one day and get married.’
The alleged victim, now 25, told how she uncovered the deception the following morning after spotting Lee’s dark locks poking out from under the hat.
She said: ‘After he’d finished touching me he went to sleep. In the morning when I woke up there was hair coming from under his hat. ‘I thought, “that’s not him”. It

was black hair. Then I remembered her [Manson] from school.’
Lee, from Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, was cleared of both counts after telling the jury that although he had posed as Daniel Blades in texts and phone calls, he had never been to the woman’s house and denied any sexual acts had taken place.
Lee told the jury he had been born female but had ‘felt like I was a male’ since the age of 15 or 16. He will now be sentenced over the 2012 offence in December.
Last month a woman was convicted of sexually assaulting a female student after using Facebook to create a male persona to seduce her. Gayle Newland, 25, of the Wirral, also used a sex toy during sex sessions in which her victim would wear a blindfold. She is awaiting sentence.
