Now that’s a spec-tacular stag do tattoo

-

A STAG party reveller could not believe his eyes when he woke up with a pair of glasses tattooed on his face.

The man in his 50s, who asked not to be named, looked in the mirror after the night out and presumed his friends had drawn around his eyes with a marker pen.

But when he tried to wash away the design, he realised it was in fact a permanent tattoo – which included the sunglasses brand name ‘Ray-Ban’.

The man, from Swansea, was on a stag weekend in Blackpool when he got the inking as a drunken dare.

He said: ‘I had no memory of getting the tattoo because I had gone out celebrating and it happened when I was drunk.

‘Waking up the morning after, I thought someone had used a permanent marker on my face.

‘When I first came home, obviously I was subject to a lot of stares.’

He said that he initially was not sure if he wanted to get the tattoo removed, but added: ‘I really started to think about what my family and friends thought. I didn’t want them to be embarrassed when they were out with me.’

He has since undergone six sessions of laser treatment and is expected to be left without scarring.

Donnalee Alford, owner of the Swansea clinic he attended, said it was one of the worst tattoo blunders she had ever seen.
